Iran Press/ Iran news: Among the projects, there are 34 deals with the human environment, 20 with the natural environment, 10 with the infrastructure development, and 3 others with the educational fields.
Of these, 15 projects are defined for sewage treatment, 12 others for clean air, and the rest are in the field of construction and development of environmental protection, monitoring, infrastructure, information, and education, which are of special importance.
Attending the event, the Head of Iran's Department of Environment pointed to the achievements of the Islamic Revolution for a prosperous environment:
"Before the Islamic Revolution, there were fifty-seven protected areas, which were mostly royal hunting grounds or for special classes, but now this number has increased fivefold, and there are 309 protected areas, which are often used for the purpose of protecting the environment."
Regarding the latest measures taken to revive the Caspian Sea, he said that following the meeting we had in Geneva, it was decided to hold the sixth cup in Iran.
He also referred to the signing of 5 cooperation documents with the UAE, Iraq, Syria, Turkmenistan, and Armenia in order to implement field operations against the dust storms as one of the achievements of Iranian environmental diplomacy.
