Iran Press/ Iran News: During the phone call between Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, some bilateral issues as well as issues of common concern in the regional and international arenas were discussed and exchanged.
In this telephone conversation, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, while pointing to the good relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan, emphasized the territorial integrity of the countries of the region, including the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Iran's top diplomat added: "The Islamic Republic of Iran is looking for the correct solution to the dispute in the Caucasus in the 3+3 meeting and regional mechanisms and will always continue its efforts to resolve the problem between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia."
Amir-Abdollahian announced his opposition to any deployment of foreign forces to the region and assessed it as contrary to peace, stability and regional cooperation.
In this telephone conversation, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan considered the direct and continuous communication between the foreign ministers of the two countries as an indication of the depth of relations between Tehran and Baku and emphasized: "Azerbaijan values and respect these relations."
Jeyhun Bayramov further appreciated Amir-Abdollahian's phone call and explained the results of his trip to Armenia and praised the efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran to help regional peace and stability.
He expressed his opposition to the deployment of foreign forces in the region and emphasized the continuation of regional cooperation, including in the form of the 3+3 meeting to help sustain stability and security in the region.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan also welcomed the visit of the Speaker of the Islamic Parliament of Iran to Baku and described it as an important step in helping the development of bilateral relations. 219
