Tehran (IP) - The Investment and Economic and Technical Assistance Organization of Iran has announced that the number of foreign investment projects approved during the 13th administration, from the beginning of the term until May 21, totals 713 projects valued at $11.9 billion.

Iran Press/ West Asia: The projects include 91 Chinese investments worth over $2.1 billion. The announcement highlights the importance of foreign investment in Iran's economy, a topic that was discussed during the first TV debate of the 14th term presidential election candidates on June 17.

The figures only include foreign investments that have been implemented or are currently underway, excluding those that have been approved but have not yet started.
