The foreign ministers of Iran and Saudi Arabia held a phone conversation about the latest developments in Gaza.

Iran PressIran news: Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Islamic Republic of Iran Minister of Foreign Affairs, had a telephone conversation with his Saudi counterpart, Faisal bin Farhan, on Sunday 29 October.

The top diplomats of the two countries discussed the dangerous developments in the Gaza Strip and the importance of the international community's role in establishing a ceasefire to protect civilians in the shadow of the expansion of military operations".

Amir-Abdollahian and Ben Farhan also discussed bilateral relations and ways to expand in different fields.

Iranian and Saudi Arabian Foreign Ministers met and discussed the issue of Palestine in Jeddah on the sidelines of the emergency meeting of the Executive Committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in late October.

Amir-Abdollahian said: "Saudi positions in supporting Palestine from the very beginning of the conflicts are commendable." 219

The Palestinian death toll from the ongoing Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip since October 7 has risen to over 8,000 the Health Ministry in Gaza announced on Saturday. 219
