Iran Press/ Iran news: In a meeting with Uzbekistan's Minister of Energy Joʻrabek Mirzamahmudov, Iran's first vice President Mohammad Mokhber stated that the three meetings between the presidents of the two countries in the past 2 years show Tehran-Tashkent's determination to promote all-round communication between the two sides.
Mokhber said: "We hope that the economic interactions will expand following the political relations of the two countries because the political interactions will remain stable with strong economic support."
The Iranian vice president stated: "He clarified that the agreements signed in the presence of the presidents of the two countries should be implemented as soon as possible and new cooperation agreements should be pursued."
Referring to the very high cooperation capacities of the two countries in various fields, especially transportation and energy, Mokhber continued: "The achievements of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the industrial sectors, energy, electricity, transportation, modern technologies, and knowledge-based companies can well define new areas for cooperation."

He also pointed to the two important corridors of Iran, Uzbekistan, and Afghanistan, as well as Iran, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Oman, noting that these exchange routes should be activated more than in the past and the issues in the preferential trade agreements should be resolved.
The first vice president stated that the solution for monetary and banking issues, transportation and transit plays an essential role in stable economic relations, adding: "In the financial and banking field, interactions can be carried out with the national currency of the two countries and there is no reason to use the currency of a third country, which is very important to strengthen the value of the national currency of Iran and Uzbekistan, and the central banks of the two countries should provide the necessary banking mechanism in this regard."
The Iranian First Vice-president further noted that regarding the expanding transit interactions, the airlines of the two countries should become more active, and the process of issuing visas between the citizens and business activists of the private and economic sectors of Iran and Uzbekistan should be facilitated.

Joʻrabek Mirzamahmudov, the Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan, also considered the historical meetings of the presidents of the two countries in the past two years as an indication of the deepening of relations, noting: "In their meetings, the presidents of Iran and Uzbekistan agreed to increase the volume of financial and economic exchanges from 500 million dollars to 1 billion dollars and shortly 2 billion dollars, they have emphasized that the implementation of the agreements between the two countries should be provided."
He added: "The President of Uzbekistan has ordered that in addition to following up on past agreements, new possibilities for financial and economic interactions with Iran will be reviewed and finalized during this trip, and Uzbekistan is fully prepared to use the great capacities of Iran in the fields of technology, knowledge, trade and Use investment."
The Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan considered the establishment of an industrial zone in the two countries as an important factor in introducing industrial projects and products to the people and the private sector, adding: "Iran and Uzbekistan can provide the possibility of exporting to other countries in the region in addition to meeting their internal needs. In this regard, issues related to customs tariffs should be resolved."

Joʻrabek Mirzamahmudov, emphasizing the need to increase the transit capacity of the two countries, said: "He also emphasized the need to increase the transit capacity of the two countries, noting that the capabilities of moving goods between the two countries can be expanded up to 24,000 vehicles which requires the creation of suitable cooperation conditions for the large transport companies of the two countries to achieve that goal."
Referring to the capabilities of the Islamic Republic in the field of energy, the Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan said: "During the visit to the large Iranian companies, the significant industrial progress of Iran was noticeable, and we are looking for the great technologies of the oil, petrochemical, food and industrial industries of the Islamic Republic of Iran to be used in Uzbekistan."
In the end, he stated: "New fields of cooperation between the two countries have been discussed in this trip, and by determining the goals, schedule and methods of implementation, we hope that the conditions for the development of relations will improve."
