Iran's top snooker player Hossein Vafaei defeated Graeme Dott, a Scottish professional snooker player and snooker coach 4-2 and made it to the top 8 players of the British Open Snooker 2023.

Iran PressEurope: Vafaei is scheduled to play Barry Hawkins from Britain or the Chinese snooker player He Guoqiang in the Quarter-finals.

The competition runs from September 25 to October 2nd. The winner of the event will receive £100,000 from a total prize fund of £478,000. The third-ranking tournament of the 2023–24 snooker season, it is organized by the World Snooker Tour.

The Centaur at Cheltenham Racecourse hosts the third world ranking event of the 2023-24 season, with Ryan Day defending the Clive Everton Trophy against many of snooker’s biggest stars.

World No.1 Ronnie O’Sullivan has withdrawn from the tournament due to medical reasons.
