The head of the political bureau of Hamas met with the chief of the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces to discuss the latest situation in Gaza.

Iran PressAsia: The Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Bagheri, in a meeting with the Head of the Political Bureau of Hamas Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, stated that supporting the Palestinian cause has always been among the country's main strategies since the victory of Islamic Revolution.

The top military official said that Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, which was launched by the Palestinian Resistance and was led by Hamas' military wing, al-Qassam Brigades, dealt the Israeli regime an irreparable defeat.

This operation destroyed the myth of the invincibility of the criminal Israeli regime and turned Palestine into the first issue of the entire world, he added.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Bagheri emphasized that if the Americans had not helped the Zionist regime, the criminal Tel Aviv regime would have collapsed by now.

The head of the political office of Hamas, while expressing his happiness and satisfaction regarding the meetings held with Iran's military commanders, said that holding this meeting is one of the main reasons for the attention of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Palestine.

For his part, Haniyeh appreciated the support of Iranian statesmen and the nation for the Palestinian people.

He also hailed the efforts of martyr Soleimani in supporting the oppressed people. 219
