Supreme National Security Council to be held

Tehran (IP) - Following the martyrdom of Major General Qassim Soleimani in Baghdad, the meeting of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) of the Islamic Republic of Iran will be held for several hours.

Iran PressIran news: Iran’s top security body will meet on Friday to discuss the “criminal” attack that martyred Iranian Major-General Qassem Soleimani, its spokesman said.

“In the next few hours, an extraordinary meeting of the Supreme National Security Council will be held to probe the criminal act of attack on commander Soleimani’s car in Baghdad, which led to his martyrdom,” spokesman Keyvan Khosravi said.

Major General Ghasem Soleimani, the head of the IRGC elite Quds Force, has been martyred in the US strike on Baghdad airport on Friday morning.

On Mar 11, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei awarded the Order of Zulfaqar to Major General Qassem Soleimani.

Major General Qassem Soleimani was the first Iranian military official to receive Iran’s highest military order, the Order of Zulfaqar, after the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
