Iran Press/ Iran news: Since regaining power in Afghanistan (August 2021), the Taliban has been trying to gain international legitimacy, but international countries and organizations, including the West, have always accused the Taliban government of violating human rights.
The most important demand of the international community from the Taliban is the formation of a comprehensive government, respect for the rights of citizens, including the recognition of women's right to work and the education of Afghan girls.
For this reason, holding a meeting of representatives of regional countries is somehow considered to be about finding a solution in this regard and increasing the credibility of the Taliban government.
The formation of the international contact group meeting for Afghanistan is an initiative of the Islamic Republic of Iran, to overcome the challenges in Afghanistan and reach a stable country for its neighbors and the region.
According to Iran Press"Ali Akbar Ahmadian", the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, at the invitation of the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Kyrgyzstan to participate in the sixth meeting of secretaries and national security advisers of the countries of the region regarding Afghanistan, headed a delegation that arrived in Bishkek on Thursday evening

The Islamic Republic of Iran is the organizer of the meeting of the representatives of the regional countries about Afghanistan, and so far two of these meetings have been held in Tehran.
In these meetings, the highest national security officials of the countries of the region, including the Islamic Republic of Iran, Russia, China, India, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, discussed the most important security and political issues about Afghanistan and its results and consequences for the countries of the region and its people have been discussed.
Also, usually, on the sidelines of these meetings, bilateral consultations are held between the high officials of the participating countries.
