Kashan (IP) - Iran's rapid advancements in science and technology are stirring unease among dominant global powers, according to Mohammad Eslami, head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI).

Iran PressIran news: Speaking at the inauguration of the Kashan Nuclear Martyrs' Educational and Cultural Complex, Eslami pointed to key developments in the nuclear and defense sectors, areas where Iran’s breakthroughs are challenging the traditional dominance of global hegemons.

Eslami credited the Islamic Revolution for paving the way for these scientific achievements. With the backing of a new generation of scientists and graduates, Iran has fortified its military and technological capabilities. He stressed that Iran's growth in fields such as information technology, nuclear science, and defense—domains long monopolized by world powers—has been a source of particular concern for those who seek to limit access to these critical areas.

A significant milestone in Iran’s trajectory, Eslami noted, was the launch of the country’s first satellite, Omid (Hope), in 2008. This achievement marked Iran's entrance into the space race, a move that many global players had hoped to prevent. Since then, Iran has continued to build on its space program, with further successful satellite launches, underscoring its growing presence in a highly strategic field.

Iran’s progress in nuclear science also continues to evolve, supported by the contributions of its youth, whose scientific expertise has been instrumental in enhancing the nation’s standing. For Eslami, these achievements are not just milestones but signals of Iran's increasing influence in areas once dominated by global powers, a shift that has changed the rules once set by those powers.
