Beijing (IP) - The 14th Iranian presidential election run-off is being held at the Iranian Embassy and Iranian Consulate in Beijing, China.

Iran PressAsia: The snap election was called following the tragic martyrdom of President Ebrahim Raisi in a helicopter crash last month. 

Iran will hold the runoff presidential election on Friday 5 July as the June 28 vote saw none of the four candidates securing an absolute majority.

Among 24,535,185 votes Masoud Pezeshkian leads with 10,415,991 votes, but he can't secure the majority of votes according to the constitution he will face second top runner Saeed Jalili who gained 9,473,298 votes.

The two candidates launched their campaign for runoff on Sunday and had intense campaign rallies and meetings. They took part in two back-to-back televised presidential debates and other TV programs.
