Tehran (IP) - The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran has expressed his condolences to the President, government, and people of Russia following a terrorist attack in the city of Crocus near Moscow that resulted in the deaths of a large number of innocent Russian citizens.

Iran Press/Iran news:  The attack, which took place at the Crocus City Hall commercial complex in the suburbs of Moscow, resulted in the tragic loss of 115 lives and left over 100 others injured. The incident has been met with global condemnation.

In a message to Russian President Vladimir Putin, President Ebrahim Raisi condemned the attack and expressed support for Russia's efforts to maintain national security. He called for decisive action by the international community to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf also condemned the attack in a message to the head of the Russian State Duma. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran joined in condemning the brutal act and offered condolences to Sergey Lavrov, Russia's Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, while expressing condolences to the victims' families, emphasized the need for united and effective action against terrorism by the international community.

Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanaani also strongly condemned the terror attack and offered condolences to Russia, standing in solidarity with them during this difficult time.
