Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian, in his meeting with the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammad Al-Thani, described the level of political relations between the two countries as excellent and emphasized the need to improve relations in other fields.
Appreciating Qatar's efforts to establish a ceasefire in Gaza, the President of Iran added: Every hour and minute, human rights and all international legal rules are violated in Gaza, but the countries claiming to defend human rights, which sometimes shout for the trial of a person, they are not only silent against these crimes, but they even support the perpetrators of these crimes and genocide.
Pezeshkian expressed his hope that Islamic countries and all other countries that adhere to international frameworks and laws will stand together and by joint action, they will be able to force the supporters of the Zionist regime to curb this regime and stop their crimes and genocide in Gaza.
The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammad Al-Thani, also conveyed warm greetings and a congratulatory message from the Emir of this country on the occasion of the inauguration of Iran's new government.
The Emir of Qatar attaches special importance to the expansion of strategic relations between the two countries. We also believe that relations and cooperation have not yet reached the level desired by the leaders of the two countries and we must make more efforts to achieve this goal, said Qatar's Prime Minister.
Criticizing the contradictory positions of the international community and human rights advocates towards the victims and criminals in Gaza, the Prime Minister of Qatar stated: Qatar will continue its efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza, and in this context, counts on the constructive role of the Islamic Republic of Iran as an always wise and responsible actor.
