Iran Press/Asia: Iran's President Seyed Ebrahim Raisi along with his accompanying delegation arrived in Lahore, the cultural center of Pakistan, this morning (Tuesday).
At the airport, he was warmly received by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and her provincial cabinet members.
To facilitate the movement of the high-ranking delegation of Iran, the officials of the state government of Punjab announced the closure of all educational centers, public and private offices.
During his stay in Lahore, President Raisi is scheduled to pay homage to poet and philosopher, Allama Iqbal, by visiting his mausoleum.
In another significant event on his itinerary, Raisi will address students and faculty at Government College University. The president's engagement with the academic community is expected to foster dialogue and cooperation in field of education and research between Iran and Pakistan.
On the official invitation of the President of Pakistan, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran arrived in Islamabad, the capital of this country, at the head of a high-ranking political and economic delegation for a 3-day visit. 219
