Hungary (IP) - Iranian freestyle wrestler won the gold medal at the 2023 United World Wrestling ranking series in Hungary.

Iran PressEurope: The final three weight competitions of the international freestyle wrestling competitions of the Andre Polyak Cup and the World Wrestling Union Ranking were held from noon today (Friday) in Budapest, Hungary.

In the first round, Nokhodi defeated Marshall from Austria with a score of 11-0 in the weight of 79 kg. In the second round, he defeated Chance Marsteller from the USA with a score of 10-0 and entered the semi-finals.

In this match, Nakhodi defeated Avtandil Kontchadze from Georgia with a score of 10-0 and became the finalist. Nakhodi, who had lost two finals of the world championships to Jordan Burroughs in 2021 and 2022, defeated Vladimir Gamkerlidze of Georgia with a score of 3-0 in the final match of 79 kg and won the gold medal.
