Iran Press/West Asia: Larijani former Iranian Parliament Speaker on Thursday at the head of an official delegation arrived in Damascus to meet and talk with senior Syrian officials, especially President Bashar Assad.
War in Gaza and Lebanon, the latest developments in the region, and bilateral relations of Tehran - Damascus were the main focus of Larijani's talks with the Syrian President.
Iranian Senior Aid for Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Syria also met members of Palestinian Islamic Resistance groups.
Larijani to Visit Lebanon
The Iranian foreign ministry spokesman has said that after meeting Syrian high-ranking officials, Ali Larijani, Senior Advisor to Iran’s Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, is set to visit Lebanon at the head of a high-ranking delegation.
Esmail Baghaei said that Larijani would meet with high-ranking Lebanese officials, including the prime minister and the speaker of the Lebanese parliament, to discuss the most recent development of the region.
