Iran Press/Iran news: During a meeting on Sunday with Abdullah bin Saud Al-Anzi, Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to Tehran, Rahimi expressed satisfaction with the resumption of friendly ties between the two nations. He emphasized the strategic importance of fostering robust and effective relations with Saudi Arabia.
Rahimi highlighted the 14th Iranian government’s commitment to developing friendly relations with all countries, particularly its neighbors. He reiterated Iran’s readiness to expand collaboration with Saudi Arabia in various fields, including cultural, economic, and political areas.
Ambassador Al-Anzi also stressed the importance of enhancing Riyadh-Tehran relations, describing discussions with Iranian Justice Ministry officials as impactful. He expressed hope for continued bilateral cooperation aimed at improving ties between the two nations and fostering greater collaboration.
Since March 2023, Iran and Saudi Arabia have entered a new phase in their relationship, moving toward strengthening bilateral ties after seven years of strained relations. Given the current level of diplomatic engagement, it is anticipated that cooperation between the two countries, particularly in security and economic areas, will expand further in the future.
