Following the intensive diplomatic meetings of Iran's Foreign Minister, he met and talked with Venezuela's President of the National Assembly, on Friday evening.

Iran PressAmerica: Iran's top diplomat, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, at the head of a political delegation arrived in Caracas last night and was welcomed by the Minister of Transport and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela.

Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian met and talked with his counterpart during his trip to Venezuela.

Ealier, Amir-Abdollahian also met and talked with Venezuela's Minister of Oil, Tareck Zaidan El Aissami.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran and the Minister of Oil of Venezuela discussed bilateral and international issues.

The relations between Iran and Venezuela is rooted in history streching back to more than a hundred years; but in the 1960s, it developed with cooperation in the field of oil, and after the victory of the Iranian Islamic Revolution in 1979, Venezuela was one of the first countries to recognize the new Iranian government.
