Muscat (IP) – Iranian Foreign Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister of Oman met to discuss bilateral relations and critical issues in the region.

Iran PressMiddle East: In a meeting with Fahd bin Mahmoud Al-Said, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian stressed the expansion of cooperation with the countries of the Persian Gulf region, including Oman, within the framework of neighborhood policy.

Regarding the crisis in Yemen, the Iranian foreign minister underlined the need for a political solution to the problems of the Yemeni people.

Referring to the close and fraternal relations between the two countries, Fahd bin Mahmoud Al-Said emphasized the expansion of cooperation between the two countries and Oman's interest in playing a role in integrating regional governments.

He also stressed Iran's constructive role in regional developments.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian arrived in Muscat on Monday at the head of a delegation and met with Oman's Deputy Prime Minister Fahd bin Mahmoud Al-Said and Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi to discuss bilateral relations and regional and international developments.
