Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, at the Security Council meeting, stated that the survival of the Israeli regime depends on regional crises and added that Netanyahu seeks to preserve his political life through raging war.

Iran PressAmerica: The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, in the meeting of the Security Council on the situation in West Asia, especially Palestine, addressing the foreign ministers of the countries participating in this meeting said: "Through the use of lies and misinformation, the Zionist regime is trying to divert international attention from the genocide and massacres being committed with the support of the United States in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank."

Iran's top diplomat said: "The Israeli regime is fully responsible for the crimes in occupied Palestine, and its war crimes and genocide have been widely documented by the United Nations and other human rights organizations, and it is considered the most recorded genocide in modern history."

Amir-Abdollahian stated: "Instead of inviting others to exercise restraint, the United States should force the Israeli regime to stop the war, and the United States should try to get rid of the trap that the Zionist regime has laid to lead it into a direct conflict."

Iran's Foreign Minister stressed that the killing of innocent civilians, especially women and children, must be stopped immediately. War is not the solution; Security cannot be achieved by resorting to force and committing genocide in Gaza.

He noted: "The killing of civilians in Gaza and the West Bank cannot continue until the so-called destruction of Hamas, because that time will never come, as the strong will of this nation has not weakened in the last 80 years."

Amir-Abdollahian further stressed that the Security Council should fulfill its legal responsibility which is underlined in the charter by ending its long-term inaction and adopting a decisive resolution.

He also emphasized the urgent need to provide the necessary facilities for the return of the people of Gaza to their homeland, the settlement of the displaced and the homeless, and the help of the international community to rebuild the destroyed infrastructure.

Amir-Abdollahian stated: "In addition, it is very important to hold the Zionist regime accountable for committing war crimes and to ensure that the perpetrators of such crimes are brought to justice."

In the end, he added: "A permanent solution to the Palestinian problem is only possible through holding a referendum with the participation of all Palestinians." 219
