Tehran (IP) - Head of the Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran (AEOI) says Iran's economy needs quality knowledge-based products to suit consumers' tastes and durable goods.

Iran PressIran news: At a presser on the occasion of the 16th National Nuclear Technology Day, Mohammad Eslami stated: "It has always been a tradition for the National Day of Nuclear Technology to present a series of achievements and results. We will hold this years' day with two perspectives: first, in order to explain the history of Iran's nuclear program, despite the blackmail against Iran and the accusation that Iran only seeks military weapons in nuclear technology, to present the historical truth about the past in various languages and ways."

He added: "We will have a duty to explain it to our public opinion and the world's; that Iran's nuclear technology is the technology needed by the country and its goals are peaceful and it does not pursue any other goal."

Eslami continued: "In this regard, the items that will be unveiled are the comprehensive strategic document for the development of atomic energy, which shows the organization's policies and strategies up to 1420 [in Persian calendar]."

"The second part is the path that has been taken in the past. So far, 25 large and small technologies presented the annual achievements. For the new [Iranian] year, 9 new achievements will be unveiled on April 10, which will be used in the field of radiopharmaceuticals in the field of diagnosis and treatment, which will be included in clinical trials. Cold is used in plasmotherapy for treating cancer, which is a harmless and effective method that is used in a period of time with the prescription of doctors. This technology is at people's service," he pointed. 

The head of the Atomic Energy Organization also noted: "We will pursue a 360-megawatt indigenous power plant in Darkhovin [Nuclear Power Plant] in the [Iranian] year 1401, to employ all knowledge-based industries, and to implement the first power plant with domestic builders and knowledge-based companies, and the country will have a position among the nuclear power plants builders." 

He also referred to international relations and interactions with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and said: "In the past few months, with special measures, we have been able to conduct completely normal conditions and with logical relations and in accordance with the rules and regulations."
