Iran press/ Iran news: Current Vice President of Iran for Women and Family Affairs, Masoumeh Ebtekar said in an exclusive interview with Iran Press news agency that Iranian women have always played a major role during all the different stages of the Islamic revolution in the past and present time.
Top Iranian Lady went on to stress the fact that the Islamic Revolution has paved the ground to create 'favorable conditions' for women's advancement in the different areas, especially in the field of education.
According to Ebtekar, this includes in terms of improvement in literacy rates, elementary as well as higher education. The top female official mentioned the fact that today women even outnumber men in higher education, a trend which she called "a true change in terms of women's role and advancement."
Ebtekar described sport as well as other filed in which Iranian women have entered and have been actively involved with.

Iran's vice president stressed that the areas like life expectancy and health, art, cinema, literature have also witnessed women advancement.
She also praised the significant roles Iranian women have played during the 8 years of Iran-Iraq war as mother and wives of the martyrs, as well as the handicapped of war.
Ebtekar also explained further that Iranian women have played a significant role in the political arena of the Islamic country; in the elections or as the female representatives who have seated in the rural or urban councils.
