In an interview with SABC News, Mostafa Daryabari, Iran's Cultural Attaché in South Africa, emphasized Iran's commitment to responding decisively to Israeli aggression.

Iran Press/Africa: Following President Cyril Ramaphosa's remarks on South Africa's continued support for efforts aimed at achieving lasting peace in the Middle East, Mostafa Daryabari highlighted the significant escalation in confrontations between Israel and Iran.

Daryabari pointed out that Iran launched approximately 200 ballistic missiles targeting Israeli military and security bases as a legitimate act of self-defense, triggered by Israel's repeated violations of Iran's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

He stated that these actions were a direct response to Israel's infringement of Iran's red lines, particularly following a series of hostile acts that threaten national security.

Iran's Cultural Attaché in South Africa further noted that this marked Iran's second direct retaliation after the missile and drone strikes in April, which were in response to Israel's deadly airstrike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus.

Daryabari reiterated Iran's unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and emphasized the importance of solidarity among Islamic nations in the face of aggression.

He expressed hope for a unified effort to counter the ongoing injustices faced by Palestinians and called for increased international awareness and action against Israeli actions.

Daryabari reaffirmed Iran's commitment to defending its sovereignty and standing firm against any threats, while also calling for greater cooperation among Muslim countries to support the struggle for Palestinian rights.
