The head of the Red Crescent Society of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Pir Hossein Kolivand, announced that the wreckage of the helicopter carrying President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and several other officials has been located. The helicopter was found on the slope of a hill in the Varzaghan region of East Azerbaijan province.
Despite adverse weather conditions, rescue teams have been tirelessly working to reach the site. The discovery of the wreckage marks a significant development in the ongoing search and rescue operation. Further updates are expected as the rescue teams are expected to assess the situation as they are two kilometers away from the wreckage.
