Iran Press/ Iran News: Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi in an exclusive interview with Iran Press on Friday over the message of "Parade of Service" maneuver on Army Day said the parade is an initiative to showcase the capabilities and capacities of the Iranian army biological defense in fighting and controlling the coronavirus.
Noting that every year military power of the army is exhibited for the Iranian nation and showing Iranian Power to the enemies, Admiral Khanzadi said that due to the crisis and quarantine conditions, the army shifted to exhibit its health and medical abilities.
“Iran’s Armed Forces, particularly army forces, enjoys a significant capacity in biological defense, trained forces, and technical equipment,” he noted.
He stressed that during the two past months, all of the army’s capacities of new warfare have gotten engaged in dealing with the coronavirus with their advanced equipment and a medical team which has experienced the 8-year imposed war and are well-trained in army medical centers as if they are in a real war.
The 'Parade of Service' was conducted on the occasion of the Islamic Republic of Iran's ‘Army Day’ in Tehran and across Iran on Friday morning with the slogan ‘Defenders of Homeland and Assistants of Health’.
The aim of the parade is to fight the COVID-19 outbreak which has brought many social, economic and health challenges to the whole world.
During the March some COVID-19 combating equipment unveiled and put on public display.
April 17 in the Iranian calendar has been named as the national day of the Army.
