Iran Press/Iran news: The people of north western province of Ardabil have held a ceremony to welcome the approaching holy Month of Ramadhan.
The ceremony was also attended by the representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Ardabil, Ayatollah Seyyed Hassan Ameli, as well as provincial officials, and a large number of people who had gathered in Mahdiyeh (the place for performing religious rituals) in Ardabil, reported Iran Press.
According to the Islamic lunar calendar, Monday (tomorrow) is the first day of the holy Month of Ramadhan in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Ramadhan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar, during which Muslims worldwide abstain from certain acts between dawn and dusk, among them eating and drinking. 103/211/203
