Iran's ambassador to London described Tehran-London economic relations within the framework of economy as strategic.

Iran Press/Iran news: Iran's ambassador to London has said Tehran-London economic relations have never been so strategic, IRNA reported.

Hamid Baeedinejad, who was speaking at a meeting entitled "Perspective and Development of Iran-UK Trade Relations" on Thursday, explained that economic relations between the two countries were traditional, but this time it has become of special political and strategic importance.

He explained that now the European Union and the three European countries are encouraging high-level political, economic and business partnerships with Iran, and now a top European political representative in Tehran is considering the latest way of determining the channel of financial and banking links between Iran and Europe.

Iran’s sanctions, US most serious foreign policy mistake

Former British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw, speaking at the same meeting, said that imposition of sanctions on Iran is the most serious mistake in US foreign policy.

He pointed out that the US has isolated itself in the international arena as a result of imposition of unilateral sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran, adding, “the current sanctions imposed on Iran are not the toughest sanctions rather it is the most serious mistake made in US foreign policy.”

Jack Straw said, “British government backs Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) wholeheartedly.”
