IP- Alireza Enayati, the new ambassador of Iran to Saudi Arabia, arrived in Riyadh early on Tuesday.

Iran Press/Middle East: Iran's diplomat was welcomed by the officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia in Riyadh.

He arrived in Riyadh following a landmark deal with the Arab country to resume diplomatic relations with Iran. 

Saudi ambassador to Iran, Abdullah Al-Enzi, will arrive in Iran later this week.

Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan said in August that his country expects a new chapter to be opened in relations between the Saudi Kingdom and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

“We expect that a new chapter will be opened in relations between the two countries based on brotherhood, mutual respect, and common interests,” Faisal bin Farhan said in a joint press conference with his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir Abdollahian in Riyadh.
