Doha (IP) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian reiterated Iran’s commitment to supporting Palestinian resistance movements during his address at the Asia Cooperation Dialogue summit in Doha on Thursday. Pezeshkian emphasized that Iran views it as a duty to back groups fighting for the liberation of Palestine.

Iran Press/West Asia: “We will continue to support Islamic resistance movements for the liberation of Palestine and consider this a fundamental responsibility,” Pezeshkian declared, affirming Iran's unwavering stance on the issue.

Speaking to an audience of regional leaders, the Iranian president also highlighted the ongoing challenges in West Asia, particularly repeated Israeli aggression against the Axis of Resistance. "We are standing firm in our support for the Axis of Resistance," Pezeshkian added, underscoring Iran's alignment with groups opposed to Israeli atrocities in the region.

Pezeshkian's two-day visit to Qatar, made at the invitation of the Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, aims to strengthen bilateral relations. On the first day of the visit, the Iranian president met with the Emir, where both sides signed six agreements to enhance cooperation across various sectors, including economic, cultural, educational, and sports initiatives.

The summit in Doha has brought together leaders and representatives from across Asia, with discussions focusing on regional cooperation and shared challenges.
