The Minister of Communications and Information Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran emphasized the readiness of Iranian companies to be present in the Cuban market and transfer Iran's experiences and capabilities in the field of communications and information technology.

Iran PressIran News: Iran's Minister of Communications and Information Technology met with the first deputy of the Ministry of Communications of Cuba, Gonzales Vidal, and the accompanying delegation in Tehran this Monday morning.

In this meeting, Zarepour pointed to cruel sanctions against Iran and Cuba, saying: "These sanctions have been an opportunity for Iran and Iranian companies to increase local knowledge, especially in the field of communication and information technology."

The Minister of Communications and Information Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran, referring to the capabilities of Iranian companies in various sectors of the field of communications and information technology, added: "Iranian technology companies are ready to work in various areas such as developing communication infrastructure, setting up different platforms, implementing the fiber optic project and also helping the Cuban communication network to upgrade to the fourth generation and paving the way for entering the fifth generation." 

For his part, the Cuban official said in the meeting that Havana attaches great importance to its relations with Tehran in all fields.

Cuba is eagerly waiting to see the presence of the Iranian companies to develop technological areas in the country, he added.

It was in June 2023 that Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi traveled to Havana at the head of a delegation to strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries which are both under the sanctions. 219
