Tehran (IP) - The Commander of the IRGC unit for Protection of Nuclear Sites said that Iran is ready to counter any probable Israeli attack on the Iranian nuclear sites, and there would be revisions to Iran's nuclear policies if Israel continues to threaten attacks on its nuclear sites.

Iran PressIran news: The Commander of the IRGC Department for Protection of Nuclear Sites, Brigadier General Ahmad Haghtalab, in an interview about the possible aggression of the Zionist regime in response to the victorious operation of "True Promise" to attack Iranian nuclear facilities, said: "These threats are not related to today or yesterday, since the previous years, the fake Zionist regime, in addition to threats, has taken sabotage and terrorist actions against Iran's nuclear industry."

General Haghtalab said that the Iranian armed forces have the necessary information about the Israeli nuclear sites such as all of the targets are in the range of the Iranian missiles.

He stated that although based on international protocols all countries have been prohibited from attacking nuclear facilities, the Islamic Republic has always been ready to defend its nuclear facilities in case of any aggression.

Iran can revise its nuclear doctrine and policies and change its mindset about its previous considerations. Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched a retaliatory strike on multiple locations in Israel early morning on April 14, in response to an Israeli terrorist attack.

Referring to the recent criminal act of the Zionist regime in attacking the consular section of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Syria, which violated all international laws and regulations, the IRGC commander stated that it was not expected that the Israeli regime would again make the futile attempt to threaten an attack on our country's nuclear facilities. “By the grace of God and efforts of the armed forces using passive defense plans as well as highly advanced facilities and equipment, Iranian forces are ready to deal with any threats."

Senior IRGC commander emphasizing that the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran are in full readiness, noted: "The nuclear centers of the Zionist enemy have been identified and we have the necessary information about all the targets, and so to speak, in order to respond to their possible aggression, Iranian forces are ready to fire powerful missiles to destroy the designated targets."

The Commander of the IRGC's Nuclear Facilities Protection and Security Command Brigadier General Ahmad Haqtalab stated that if the Zionist regime wants to take action against our nuclear facilities and centers, it will definitely face a decisive response from Iranian forces and its atomic facilities will be targeted by advanced weapons.

Haghtalab added: “If the fake Zionist regime wants to use the threat of attacking our country's nuclear facilities as an instrumental means to put pressure on Iran, a revision of the nuclear doctrine and policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran and a departure from the previously announced considerations is likely and conceivable."

IRGC commander, emphasizing that the era of "hit and run" is over as stated by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, said, “If the Zionist regime commits an act of aggression against Iran, the type of response would be with the prudence of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and they can be sure that the blow they receive will be recorded in history like the ‘True Promise’ operation”.

Concluding, Haghtalab reassured the Iranian people of the safeguarding measures in place, asserting the complete security of Iran's nuclear facilities under the protection of armed forces.

On 1 April 2024, an Israeli airstrike destroyed the Iranian embassy in Damascus, Syria, killing 16 people, including a senior Quds Force commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). 219
