Russia (IP) - Invited by his Russian counterpart, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran arrived in Moscow on Thursday evening and met with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

Iran PressEurope: President Raisi arrived in Moscow on Thursday at the official invitation of his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, and was welcomed at Vnukovo International Airport by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.

Consultation on bilateral issues, including economic interactions, as well as discussion on regional and international issues, especially the issue of Palestine and developments in the Gaza Strip, is the main focus of the Raisi’s one-day trip to Russia.

Putin made a visit to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday one day before hosting Raisi.

Upon his arrival at Moscow's Vnucovo International Airport, Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi was welcomed by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ryabkov and Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Novak.
