Tehran (IP) – Iran's Health Ministry announced on Saturday that 26 death cases due to COVID-19 had been registered during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 131,847.

Iran PressIran News: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to January 08, 2022, 6,204,925 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 6,050,483 of the infected people recovered.

Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 701 cases, of whom 168 patients were hospitalized.

1,889 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICU).

So far, 42,742,805 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

So far, 60,066,025 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 52,526,641 have received the second dose, 9,841,553 have received the third dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 122,434,219 doses.
