Yasuj (IP)- The prioritized projects in the first phase of the collaborative forest and pasture management field were implemented in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province of Iran in cooperation with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

Iran PressIran news: Considering the importance of the Karun River, by selecting areas from five provinces of the main branches of the Karun River; (Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad, Isfahan, Lorestan and Khuzestan provinces), the collaborative forest and pasture management and comprehensive management project has been carried out with the cooperation of the JICA team from Japan and Iran's natural resources and watershed management organization.

JICA is the name of an independent international government organization in Japan that helps the Japanese government and developing countries in the field of development. The JICA office operates in three areas: Environment, natural disasters, and domestic industry development in Iran. 

"Abdol Mirfardi," the deputy head of watershed management of the General Directorate of Natural Resources of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad Province, on  Thursday said: "Cultivation of medicinal plants" and "Provision of supplies and production of handicrafts" as prioritized projects in the first phase of implementation of The joint project with "JICA"  in 2022.
