The spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Behrouz Kamalvandi

Tehran(IP) - The spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran said: "Tehran has not opposed having access to its nuclear facilities, but the questions of the International Atomic Energy Agency should be based on serious principles, evidence, and reasons."

Iran Press/Iran news: In an interview with Al-Alam published on Sunday, Behrouz Kamalvandi, the spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, referred to a claim that Tehran did not cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency, saying it is not and will not be acceptable, and providing access to the agency is conditional on questions and ambiguities ending once and for all.

Rafael Grossi, Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, recently issued a report claiming that Iran would not allow IAEA inspectors to visit the two nuclear sites; the claim made about these two sites is based on the intelligence of the Zionist regime.

The spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran also referred to the visit of "Rafael Grossi" to Tehran and expressed hope that this visit will help allay the concerns of both sides.

Regarding the two places that the International Atomic Energy Agency wants to access, Kamalvandi said: "One of these two places is around Isfahan and the other is near Tehran."

The spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran said: "When the IAEA has a question from a country, it is the inalienable right of that country to demand the basics and documents related to the question or questions from the IAEA."

Kamalvandi stated that the purpose of the first visit of the Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency to Tehran was within the framework of discussions on safeguards, protocols, and sanctions.

Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, will travel to Iran tomorrow (Monday).
