Tehran (IP) - Following some comments on the return of nuclear sanctions, the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran stressed the organization has taken great steps in supplying 190,000 SWUs and the authority of the nuclear industry remains.

Iran Press/Iran news: The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran added: "Whether the snapback mechanism is activated or the current trend continues, the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran has taken great steps in supplying 190,000 SWUs. The authority of the nuclear industry remains."

Regardless of the US withdrawal from the internationally agreed Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), and amid the US inhuman sanctions against the Iranian people, Iran continues to develop peaceful nuclear energy technology.

The use of nuclear energy is a universal and inherent right that all nations enjoy under international law. This right is one of the examples of the third generation of the rights of the nation, namely the right to development.

The Trump administration will formally demand on Thursday that the United Nations reimpose sanctions against Iran after its plan to extend the arms embargo against Iran was decisively defeated in a Security Council vote last week, marking an embarrassing diplomatic rebuke to Washington.

Other nations say the US has no standing to make the demand because the Trump administration pulled the US out of the Iran nuclear deal two years ago.

The United States announced its withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, also known as the "Iran nuclear deal", on 8th, May 2018.
