Tehran (IP) - The spokeswoman for the ministry of health has said that 2,345 people have been infected with the coronavirus during the past 24 hours, and 288,620 of total infected people have recovered.

Iran PressIran News: Sima Sadat Lari said on Tuesday about the latest data on the coronavirus in the country and the deaths caused by the virus: "According to the definitive laboratory findings, from yesterday to August 11, 2,345 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed in the country and the number of patients with this disease reached 331,189.

1,269 of the new patients were hospitalized, she added.

"Fortunately, 288,620 patients have recovered so far," Lari said.

The spokeswoman said: "Unfortunately, in the past 24 hours, 184 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, and 18,800 people have lost their lives in the country to date."

The official stated: "3983 patients are in intensive care units."

"So far, around 2,736,514 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted in the country," the health ministry spokeswoman said.

The provinces of Mazandaran, Tehran, Qom, Golestan, North Khorasan, Ardabil, Isfahan, Alborz, Khorasan Razavi, Kerman, Semnan, East Azerbaijan, Markazi, Yazd, and Gilan are in a critical situation (Red status).

Also, Fars, Ilam, Lorestan, Hormozgan, Zanjan, Qazvin, West Azerbaijan, Bushehr, Hamadan, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad provinces are on alert.
