The Spokesman for Iran\'s Foreign Ministry Seyyed Abbas Mousavi

Tehran (IP) - The Spokesman for Iran's Foreign Ministry stressed that the country behind Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombardment claims to be countering weapons of mass destruction, instead of accepting the responsibility.

Iran Press/Iran News: Referring to a quoted a line by William Faulkner, " Maybe happen is never once" in a tweet on Sunday, Seyyed Abbas Mousavi wrote: "even if the incident happened one or more time, the atomic bombardment was more than once; Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombardment still lingers in the Japan and world's people's memories."

The cause of Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombardment is the state, which, instead of responding, claims to be the only pioneer advocate of countering weapons of mass destruction, Mousavi added.

On August 6, 1945, a US Army B-29 bomber dropped an atomic bomb on the Japanese city of Hiroshima by the order of the US President at that time Harry Truman.

Three days later, the United States dropped its second atomic bomb on the people of Nagasaki, Japan.About 220,000 people died as a result of the two atomic bombings.

The atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, in Japan, are the only military uses of nuclear weapons in the world.

The United States has never apologized for using these bombs.
