Tehran (IP) - Iran's Parliament approved a draft agreement between the Governments of Iran and India to avoid double taxation and prevent tax evasion on income tax.

Iran PressIran News: In the Sunday open session of the Iranian parliament, the Iranian lawmakers approved the agreement draft and the attached protocol revised by the Guardian Council for its clarity.  

The parliament's Economic Commission Spokesman, Mehdi Toghyani said that if a businessman is supposed to pay taxes in one country, they should not pay taxes in other countries so as not to suffer added costs.

The agreement between Iran and India is aimed at avoiding double taxation and tax evasion, which includes an introduction and 31 articles.
