Tehran (IP) - The head of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Sects stressed Muslim countries' synergy in different areas including security, political power, economy, and knowledge.

Iran PressIran news: Hamid Shahriari referred to participative service-providing among the Muslim nations and said with the advent of the internet, radical changes happened in the world, such that it made data in great quantity available to human beings.

"At the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Sects, we have considered the proximity of virtual space services in the areas of information, communication, and the transaction to modernize every proximity," the senior cleric said.

Today all active virtual networks are at the enemies' disposal, therefore, it is necessary to create an Iranian network so that everyone in the Muslim world can communicate and exchange information freely and without fear of the Western intelligence agencies in the field.

Hamid Shahriari stressed content production in cyberspace and said databases are needed in the Muslim world in this area

"Content production alone is not enough in the information sphere, but content supply is also considered; if we have content production but no one sees it, it is of no value," he added.

He made the remarks at a joint meeting of the Council of Deputies of the World Forum for the Proximity of Islamic sects and the Organization of Islamic Culture and Communications on Sunday.
