Iran Press/Iran News: In a message to mayors and Rural area managers across the country on the occasion of "Municipalities Day" on July 4, Iran's President Hasan Rouhani said: "It is a good opportunity to thank the efforts of mayors and Rural managers across the country as local managers in cities and villages."
"Certainly, no government can succeed in running the country without taking advantage of the people's capacities, and municipalities, as social institutions that are arising from the people's votes, always play a very important and effective role in the development and prosperity of cities and villages," Rouhani said.
The president went on to say, "One of the examples of the effective role of municipalities was the fight against the spread of coronavirus in the country and with the cooperation of all people and staff of the health system, we have seen effective and valuable results in the field of disease control."
