Iran Press/ Iran News: In a message to Lebanese President Michel Aoun on Sunday, President Hassan Rouhani congratulated the anniversary of the great and proud victory of the Lebanese people over Zionist occupiers, adding: "This historic victory was achieved through the resistance of the Lebanese men and women. And It is a medal of honor that shines on the hearts of all Lebanese people."
Rouhani said that the fight against coercion, aggression, and occupation leads to victory and the fulfillment of God's promise.
"Undoubtedly, the sympathy and solidarity of the Lebanese people in the shadow of the government, the army, and the resistance has been a key factor in continuing the country's achievements in fighting the Zionist and Takfiri enemies and overcoming the conspiracies of the enemies.', stressed Rouhani
On May 25, 2000, the Zionist regime surrendered to Lebanese resistance forces, despite having military capabilities, and was forced to flee southern Lebanon.
Every year, the Lebanese people celebrate the anniversary of the escape of the last Israeli military soldier from the south of the country as a day of resistance and victory.
