Tehran- Kabul mayors stress sharing experiences on anti COVID-19 campaign

Tehran(IP) - In an online video conversation, the mayors of Tehran and Kabul stressed the need to share their experiences in the fight against coronavirus.

Iran Press/Iran News: In an online conversation with Kabul Mayor Mohammad Dawood Sultanzoy on Friday, Tehran Mayor Pirooz Hanachi said that close ties, common language and culture between Iran and Afghanistan are very effective in Tehran-Kabul relations.

He also stressed that the Coronavirus spread has provided grounds for more communications among the cities.

The mayor of Tehran added: "Coronavirus has shown that it does not follow the contractual and political boundaries of countries, and all people around the world are passengers of the very same ship ."

Tehran's Mayor Hanachi added: "In Iran, after the end of the Nowruz holiday, the implementation of smart distancing was on the agenda of the Coronavirus National Headquarters, and economic activities were resumed over time, observing health protocols."

"Mohammad Dawood Sultanzoy, the mayor of Kabul, emphasized that municipalities' point of view should rather turnout to be the humane one, in other words, the view should not be security-based in nature."

The mayor of Kabul asked all mayors of the world to share their humane views with Afghanistan, adding: "Tehran has achievements that the Kabul municipality wants to use as valuable experiences."

Earlier, the mayor of Tehran had a video conversation with the mayors of London, Rome, Istanbul, Ankara, Seoul, Muscat, and Vienna.
