Foreign Ministry reaction to Pompeo: US committed to an apartheid regime

Tehran (IP) - Iran’s Foreign Ministry said the US is committed to an apartheid regime whose existence depends on racism and occupation and the US-Israeli alliance made the world much more insecure.

Iran Press/Iran News:  Iran’s Foreign Ministry reacted to the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's comments on the 2nd anniversary of the relocation of the US embassy to al-Quds from Tel Aviv and stressed that the US is committed to an apartheid regime whose existence depends on racism and occupation.

Meeting with a number of the Israeli regime’s authorities on Wednesday and on the 2nd anniversary of the relocation of the US embassy to al-Quds from Tel Aviv, Mike Pompeo said the US has never been as committed to supporting Israel as it is today.

In this regard, Iran's foreign ministry said in a tweet on Friday stated that the United States was committed to an apartheid regime whose existence depends on racism, occupation, terror, aggression, and more of these crimes.

Iran's foreign ministry stressed that the partnership the US cherishes, has been based on the destruction and bloodshed in Palestine and beyond and that the US-Israeli alliance has made the world much more insecure.

On May 14, 2018, the United States moved its embassy from Tel Aviv to al-Quds thanks to the inefficiency of human rights organizations and that of the UN.

The Israeli regime is going to occupy parts of the West Bank in July and annex them to the territories that have been occupied in Palestine.

The annexation encompasses over 30 percent of the West Bank. The United States said it was ready to recognize Israel's annexation of much of the occupied West Bank.
