Tehran (IP) - 100 religious institutes and NGOs that are active in human rights issued a joint statement, condemning the ban of activities of Lebanese religious and cultural centers in Germany and described it as an "unwise act."

Iran Press/Iran news: The institutes and NGOs have called the recent step by the German government a result of "American-global Zionism political pressures."

"This is against all legal and humane procedures," the statement said.

The German Interior Ministry designated Lebanon's Hezbollah group as a "terror organization" on last Thursday and banned its activities across the German soil.

In a move to limit Hezbollah's activities, the Zionist Regime and the United States have been pressuring European countries over the past months to designate the group as a terror organization.

In parallel, Washington has also sanctioned some Lebanese banks and individuals over their link with Hezbollah to reduce the group's popularity in Lebanon.

Hezbollah is considered a major political party in Lebanon.
