Tehran (IP) - Head of National Library and Archives of the Islamic Republic of Iran Asharaf Broujerdi said that every document represents the historical memory and identity of our country.

Iran PressIran news: Broujerdi on the occasion of 'National Document Day' in an exclusive interview with Iran Press about the importance of preserving national documents and archives stated that it is important to pay enough attention to our document to take advantage of them in our researches and studies.

"I ask youth to refer to documents if they want to recognize their identity or go through the country's history," she highlighted.

The official added that the archives part of the national library which is an independent building contains a million pieces of paper of document and is the best place for all those who are interested in Iran's history.

Broujerdi went on to say that the National Documents Day can remind people that documents keep all that we have.

"This is what we try to do here. Moreover, we try to change this place to a digital one which is easier to use for the people. The digital place contains 100 million documents," he added.

 The head of the National Library and Archives of the Islamic Republic of Iran said that all types of documents namely historical, governmental, and family one are kept here.

"If people have any type of document in their houses, they can donate or sell to us,or we can take care of them here as long as they want since all the standards are available in our archives building. And if any document is damaged, we can repair them here," Broujerdi concluded. 104/207
