Veep expresses hope for strengthening ties between Islamic countries

Tehran (IP)- Eshaq Jahangiri, Iran's first vice president, congratulated his counterparts in Islamic countries on the beginning of the Holy month of Ramadan in separate messages.

Iran PressIran news: Jahangiri expressed hope that during Ramadan, ties between Islamic countries would be strengthened and that Islamic countries would be able to work together to accelerate the fight against the Coronavirus and see it eradicated by the end of this blessed month.

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar that is observed by Muslims worldwide. While fasting from dawn until sunset, Muslims abstain from eating and drinking. 

Meanwhile, Iranians fast according to the principles of health guidelines regarding the Coronavirus and hold religious rites individually to celebrate this holy, blessed month.
