Muslims should help Palestine amid COVID-19 pandemic

Tehran (IP) - The Palestinian ambassador to Tehran, Salah Al-Zawawi, on Wednesday in a meeting with the Special Assistant to the Speaker of Iran's Parliament for International affairs calling on the Muslim countries to help the Palestinian nation for combating COVID-19.

Iran PressMiddle East: At the meeting, Iran's Special Assistant to the Speaker of Iran's Parliament Hossein Amir Abdollahian referred to developments in the region as well as all across the world after COVID-19 outbreak saying some believe that the outbreak of the coronavirus may be a biological attack by the United States and the Zionist regime, which, if true, now we see that they, themselves are wrangling with the problem. 

"Fortunately, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), the Islamic Republic of Iran has been able to achieve good results in managing and controlling the disease, despite the US government's brutal sanctions," Amir-Abdollahian highlighted.

Referring to the critical situation in Palestine amid the COVID-19 outbreak, Iran's former diplomat said that the crimes committed by the Zionists by the continuation of human sanctions in Gaza and the West Bank would definitely lead to Palestinians' anger as well as resistance.

Amir-Abdollahian also stressed that despite the COVID-19 crisis all across the world, the Islamic Ummah (Muslims) together with freedom-seeking countries should help the Palestinian nation to contain the virus.

Amir-Abdollahian also referred to Lt. Gen. Qasem Soleimani, who was assassinated by the US in Iraq, saying that he had been always unhappy about the Zionist Arab links.

"Martyred Soleimani deeply believed that Quds would be undoubtedly liberated," the Iranian former diplomat underscored.

The Palestinian Ambassador also appreciated Iran's support of Palestine to safeguard the Palestinian unity in the last 4 decades and also stressed on the continuation of Palestinian movement till the full liberation of it.
