Iran, Dutch FMs hold first round of talks

The first round of talks between Iran's Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif and his counterpart from the Netherlands, Stef Blok, was held in Tehran on Saturday.

 

Iran PressIran news: In the meeting, referring to the good and traditional relations between the two countries, the two sides called for expansion of bilateral relations.

The second round of Iran - Netherlands talks will be held after a private meeting, in which the two officials will discuss the most important bilateral, regional and international issues.

The topics discussed in the meeting include inter alia the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), INSTEX, martyrdom of Lt. General Qassem Soleimani, developments in Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen and Syria and also the crash of the Ukrainian passenger plane.  The wide-ranging discussions between Zarif and Blok included Iran's nuclear deal and relations between Iran and Europe.

Iran's President Hassan Rouhani is also scheduled to hold a meeting with the Dutch Foreign Minister. 104/211/207
