Foreign Ministry spokesman Seyyed Abbas Mousavi

Tehran (IP)- Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman has condemned the Saudi-led coalition forces' attack on the Yemeni city of al-Masloub, saying the international community's silence over these war crimes against Yemeni civilians has made the Saudi-led coalition even more brazen.

Iran Press/ Iran News: Speaking on Sunday Seyyed Abbas Mousavi strongly condemned a Saudi-led coalition criminal attack on al-Masloub city in Yemen's Jawf province, which killed and injured dozens of civilians, including women and children and sympathized with the families of the victims and the oppressed people of Yemen.

The foreign ministry spokesman added: "Over the past few years, we have witnessed many times when Saudi-led coalition forces or their allies on the battlefield have suffered horrific defeats in Yemen, even though they have advanced US weaponry. The Saudi coalition have been killing Yemeni civilians and children, and the war crimes they committed day before yesterday (Friday) in Jawf province is another example of the many war crimes they have committed in Yemen."

Mousavi emphasized that the humanitarian catastrophe in Yemen should end, saying, "The international community's silence vis-a-vis these war crimes has made the perpetrators even more brazen, with the Saudis continuing to violate international laws and human rights of the Yemeni people."

Dozens of civilians, including women and children, were killed and injured as a result of Friday night airstrikes by the Saudi-led coalition on residential areas in the city of al-Masloub in Jawf province.
